Refund & Cancellation Policy

At MintLoop, we believe in transparency. This policy outlines how refunds work for both Creators (you, the community owner) and Members (your paying subscribers).

1. MintLoop Subscription Refunds (For Creators)

This section applies to the Starter (₹299/month) and Pro (₹999/month)subscription plans you pay to MintLoop.

7-Day No Questions Asked Refund

If you upgrade to Starter or Pro and decide it's not for you, you can request a full refund within 7 days of your upgrade, provided you haven't processed more than ₹1,000 in GMV (Gross Merchandise Value) during that period.

Mid-Cycle Cancellations

If you cancel your subscription halfway through the month, you will not receive a pro-rated refund. Instead, you'll keep your Starter/Pro benefits until the end of your current billing cycle, then be automatically moved to the free Bootstrap plan.

2. Commission Fee Refunds

MintLoop charges a commission (15%, 7%, or 3% depending on your plan) on each member payment processed through your groups.

Non-Refundable by Default

Once a commission is charged (typically on the 1st of each month), it is considered non-refundable because the service (processing the member's join, automation, and management) has already been rendered.

Exception: Member Refund Credits

If you (the Creator) refund a member through your Razorpay dashboard, we will reverse the commission we charged on that specific sale. This reversed amount will be applied as a credit towards your next month's MintLoop bill.

3. Creator-to-Member Refunds

Important: MintLoop does not hold member funds. All payments from members go directly to the Creator's Razorpay account. Therefore:

  • Creators are responsible for issuing refunds to their members directly via their Razorpay dashboard.
  • When you refund a member, our system detects the refund.processed webhook event from Razorpay.
  • We automatically "claw back" the commission we earned on that sale and credit it to your next bill.

Tip for Creators: We recommend having a clear refund policy for your members. You can mention it on your payment page or group description to set expectations upfront.

4. Bootstrap (Free) Plan Considerations

Since the Bootstrap plan has no fixed subscription cost, the refund policy here applies only to commissions:

  • Commissions are final once the billing month is closed. No refunds on processed commissions for the free tier.
  • The member refund credit system (Section 2 exception) still applies if you refund a member.

5. For Members (End Users)

If you are a member who has paid to join a Creator's WhatsApp group:

Refunds are subject to the individual Creator's policy. MintLoop is the technology platform that enables payments, but we do not control or hold your payment. Please contact the Creator directly for any refund requests. If you cannot reach the Creator, you may contact your bank or card issuer.

6. How to Request a Refund

For Creators seeking a refund on MintLoop subscription fees:

  1. Email us at mintloop.help@gmail.com within 7 days of your upgrade.
  2. Include your registered email address and reason for the refund request.
  3. Our team will verify eligibility and process the refund within 5-7 business days.

For Members seeking a refund on group membership:

  1. Contact the Creator of the group you joined directly.
  2. If the Creator agrees, they will process the refund via their Razorpay dashboard.
  3. The refund will be credited back to your original payment method within 5-7 business days.
